Acting starts off as a dream for most people. The challenge is it remains just a dream while they are trying to grow their career as an Actor. They listen to those who say, "Acting is hard", "It's tough getting an Agent", "What if you fail" etc... I was more fortunate because I have spent my career making sure I spent time not with those negative types, but with hard working, talented and successful Actors. I can honestly say that this "dream" is not a dream. It is a job that anyone can have if they are ready to work hard, continue learning and have a positive attitude. When I was in Halifax and started my Acting career at age 17, many said to me it's going to take five years or more to get into the Union (Actra), or to land good rolls in acting. In my first year I landed a Principle roll in a CBS Movie of the Week. Of course there is a level of luck but you can control even luck if you know this business and the keep improving with your skills. My one-on-one workshops are focused on teaching you a strong skill-set that will help you no matter what role you are auditioning for. If you are an experienced or advanced Actor already, don't worry. Unlike most Acting Coaches, I cater my methods towards however which way you feel most comfortable learning. In other words, I do not change "your method" of acting. I work with your method to achieve greater results all the while giving you new insights and suggestions on how to grow. Each one-on-one workshop is $50/hr. or $80 for two hours. This can be done in person if you live in the Vancouver area or online through Skype. The first session is always two hours and when you sign-up you will get my ebook, "The Business of Acting" for FREE! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me anytime. |
