Please Note: An Intermediate Voice Actor is someone with less than five years experience in Halifax with Voice Acting. For those worried they might miss a week, homework is still given, and you will have the opportunity to submit your work for instructor review. Lectures are recorded so you can review at your leisure for those who missed an evening. Also, if the registration form is still below, that means we still have a few spots left available. |

Workshop Breakdown
Week 1 - Lecture. The voice acting business both in Halifax and in major cities such as Toronto, Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles. What to expect, what you need, how to prepare and stay in the industry. Vocal warm-up exercises for Voice Actors will also be taught. Commercial scripts handed out as homework.
Week 2 - 30 min Lecture. Performance - Commercial script. One-on-one direction as you perform your homework commercial script. Animation scripts given out as homework.
Week 3 - 30 min Lecture. Performance - Animation script. One-on-one direction as you perform your homework commercial script. Homework assignment, creating your own library of animated characters.
Week 4 - 30 min Lecture. Performance - Your two animation voices. Homework / Discussion, Week 5 final performance of your chosen commercial script, and scripts for your two animation voices.
Week 5 - Final Performances - Perform your two animated character voices as well as your commercial script.
